Good evening! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Now that the we’ve gotten a lot of big projects tackled in the downstairs of the house and the bedrooms I decided it was time to add a few little touches to our little porch area. Our last two houses had very traditional exteriors and the front of the houses were very symmetrical. This house has a completely different look to it so I wanted to see how it worked for us for a few months to see if I wanted/needed to add a bench or there or not. Well, with two dogs and two kidsĀ  I quickly realized I was spending a LOT of time standing out here so knew that adding something I could sit on was a definitely must. I found just what I was looking for on our partner, Walmart’s website! I added this bench and then moved this rug out here to help warm up the concrete. Right now I have it centered under the bench but I may end up moving it up a little close to the door, Then I added these two wreaths to the front doors (I’ve got a closer up shot of them in daylight further down in the post) and another one to the bench. Then I added this textured pillow and this lumbar pillow to the bench and a couple of mums, a mix of faux and real pumpkins and a few candles and the porch now looks a lot more cozy!

I love both traditional autumn colors like I used on the porch and a more neutral autumn palette too so I usually have a few different looks throughout the house. I really love this olive wreath mixed with some white pumpkins. I ordered a couple of them. They are great little accent wreaths. If I was using it on the front door I would probably fluff out out quite a bit more so it was larger, but because I wanted to use them as accents throughout the house I kept them more compact.

I ended up moving the bust, candles and wreath into our master bedroom because I am switching things up a little in the living room.

In our kitchen I added this copper colander. I LOVE the color and size of it! I love that it looks pretty sitting on my counter and is easy to grab when I need it. I also love this silicone marble and wood utensil set. And I added another olive wreath in here.

These hammered copper measuring cups are a great addition to the kitchen!

Walmart also has some beautiful flannel sheet sets. These are such a GREAT price and so cozy for fall and winter!

And here are some day time shots of the porch. I took these first before I ended up adding the candles in that evening.

Here is a close-up of one of the wreaths. It is REALLY full which I LOVE! And I love that is has a mix of darker leaves and lighter ones.

When you step in those doors you some more autumn color with fresh cut branches and some faux ones mixed in.
