One of the first projects I did for fall this year was to change out the quote on our chalkboard to this one by Emily Bronte. I absolutely love this quote and the feeling it invokes every time I read it.
I also added this give thanks sign which we now have for sale in our shop.

Thank you all for your prayers. My grandfather passed away yesterday. He was a truly extraordinary man, a real “gentleman and a scholar.” He was a very private man so I won’t write much but just wanted to say We love you and miss you dearly, Gramp!

I know you will miss him dearly. I know how hard I cried moving away from my grandmother and grandfather knowing it might be the last time I would see them. I never saw my grandmother again. But I am reminded of the Bible verse…In My House Their Are Many Mansions… God Bless You All.
Oh, Jennifer, I am so truly sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine the pain – I never knew my grandparents, well 3 out of 4 anyway, and the only I knew died when I was quite young.
I am glad you were able to know him, though it makes the loss that much more painful.

I just wanted to add my condolences on the loss of your grandfather. Grandparents play such an amazing role in our lives and I pray what sounds like incredible memories help you as you grieve his passing.
So sorry to hear about your grandfather. Just found out mine has prostate cancer. He has lived a great life at almost 90 but it still hurts to know we will eventually have to let him go. 🙁

It's just a regular lamp. I've had it for five or six years now and my memory's not the greatest, but I think I got it at Hobby Lobby.
