One of the first projects I did for fall this year was to change out the quote on our chalkboard to this one by Emily Bronte. I absolutely love this quote and the feeling it invokes every time I read it.

I also added this give thanks sign which we now have for sale in our shop.

And if you are looking for a downloadable version of the Emily Bronte quote we have one available in our shop for $ .95.

Thank you all for your prayers. My grandfather passed away yesterday. He was a truly extraordinary man, a real “gentleman and a scholar.” He was a very private man so I won’t write much but just wanted to say We love you and miss you dearly, Gramp!

  1. My most heartfelt condolences to you and your family on your grandfather's passing. So sad to read that.
On a lighter note, I love your chalkboard, the quote and the vignette. What are those flowers you have in the vase? Love the color.

  2. I know you will miss him dearly. I know how hard I cried moving away from my grandmother and grandfather knowing it might be the last time I would see them. I never saw my grandmother again. But I am reminded of the Bible verse…In My House Their Are Many Mansions… God Bless You All.

  3. Oh, Jennifer, I am so truly sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine the pain – I never knew my grandparents, well 3 out of 4 anyway, and the only I knew died when I was quite young.

I am glad you were able to know him, though it makes the loss that much more painful.

Prayers for him and for you all.

  4. Hello. Thank you for your time in advance! I noticed this beautiful chalk board on pinterest and wondered what you used to write on the chalkboard so perfectly with? Is it actual chalk or maybe marker?
Thank you again for your time and I also wanted to send my condolences on the passing of your grandfather. Bless you all.

  5. My condolences to you and your family. Grandparents are such a special blessing. What a wonderful thing to have hope that in Christ we can all be together again. Your family is in our prayers.
