Good morning! Today along with many of our favorite blogging friends, we are sharing our fall dining room as the second installment of the Seasons of Home Holiday Series. This room is a work in progress but we have wallpaper up in here now! YAY! The other prints I loved were really bold but I knew that as much as I loved changing our dining room around seasonally I realized I would be better going with something soft and subtle so I went with the Kamala in Ivory from Wallpaper Direct. It’s the same pattern we used in our laundry room at our last house and Jamie used in her entryway so I knew that I loved the pattern. I even pondered using it in the same color but then decided to go with the more subtle ivory version so it would give me more options for playing around with color in here in the future!
You can see the pattern better in this shot:
I had not had any luck finding pumpkins or gourds when I was playing around with a fall tablescape last week so I stuck with a more early autumn feel in here with some seeded eucalyptus, fresh pears, figs, hydrangeas and then of course a pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting (you can find the recipe in yesterday’s post).
I haven’t decided on if I want to have a bench in this room or stick with all chairs. For now I’ve got our gray ottoman in here and have just have it covered with a blanket while I decide. This lamp is in here temporarily as well. I ordered two new lamps for in here that I love but the shades arrived damaged so I couldn’t photograph them yet. Hopefully the replacements will arrive soon! I also swapped the mirror from out entryway with the one that was in here but haven’t decided for sure what I am going to do over on that wall. For the fall though I like the warmth the gold adds. I just don’t think proportionately it’s right for this spot.
I am also going to add some drapery panels to the window area.
I did place one faux pumpkin in here. I can’t wait to add some real ones soon!
I also tried adding in some apples to make it have a more traditional fall feel but it felt a little too busy. I will probably do something more in that color way for thanksgiving though.

Your dining room is unreal. So elegant! Love that cake with the figs and pears… beautiful!
Thank you so much! 🙂
This dining room is amazing! What an incredible centerpiece… it’s so lovely.
Thanks, Julie!!!
Jenni, I love everything so much! That cake is so pretty and your layers of textures in the room is just beautiful!
Thanks so much, Kristen!
Have you re-finished your sideboard? Everything is so pretty.
Thanks, Vicki! Jenni did rub a quick coat of stain (Provincial by Minwax) on it, but she didn’t love the way it turned out, so she’s not sure if she will be keeping it that way.
