People often assume I only like neutrals and do not like color. Yes, I do prefer neutrals in my own home, but I have to say I do love color. Earlier this week I went ahead and used a TON of red on our back porch. I have taken photos, I just need to size and watermark them. In the meantime, I thought I would share with you again some photos of Jamie and Josh’s house decorated for Christmas last year which included some pops of red.

Here is their living room:

Our mom made these stockings for Jamie and Josh:

Their space looked so beautiful with the tree all lit up.

And here is their dining room (which has since become their family room and the dining room was moved down the hall)

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! Can you believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away????

Warmly,
Jenni

  1. Absolutely beautiful. You both have exquisite taste. Love the photo of the lovely mantle and the roaring fire. It looks so cozy and inviting. I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner! I still have some decorating to do.

  2. This is such an inspiration! Love everything about your decor!! I really like that Idea of the black and white pictures in your christmas tree… could you explain me a little bit about it:) Thanks

  3. THanks for sharing! I decorate in neutrals and sometimes people give me a hard time saying, "I need a little color in my life!" I love it though!
Where did you get your dining room table and chairs! I've been searching for something like that for YEARS!

    1. Are you referring to the ones in this post? If so, they are my sisters and they were found at a consignment shop in New Hampshire. She painted the table and chairs and they turned out fabulous!

  4. What color is the brown that is used in the kitchen, I am in love with the contrast between the cream cabinets and the brown wall?

  5. I have been looking for a console table similar to the one you have posted in front of the staircase… black console with Christmas greenery and a wreath hanging on the banister behind it… If you could give me any guidance on what that piece of furniture is called or where I could find something like it I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thank you so much! I have adored your blog for years 🙂

    1. Thank you! That one is from a consignment shop, which is definitely a great place to look for one–antique shops, goodwill, craigslist, ect.
