Library/Game Room

Last fall one of the first rooms I made over was this room right off of our entryway. We didn’t need it to function as a dining room as we had a large eat-in area off of our kitchen as well as a large island so I decided to turn it into sort of a library or study. I’d been wanting to do one for years (I even did one in the dollhouses we made) but we never quite had the right spot for it until this space.  You can read more about how I  added the bookshelves and did the initial makeover here in this post. Now that we’ve been living here for close to a year we discovered although we do use it as a library/study we also use it as our game room. We love playing board games and card games as a family and regularly were finding ourselves bringing in a couple of the kitchen chairs so we could use this table as a game table.

And here it is now with these four chairs from Chita Living we don’t have to bring chairs in from the kitchen! They are even on casters so it makes them easy to access and they are absolutely perfect for this space!
