Good morning! I hope you are all having a great Friday! It snowed here yesterday which was a fun little surprise. Today I wanted to share the progress we’ve made so far in our bonus room. I’ve mostly just shared some cropped shots but today I am going to share some further back ones from all the angles. Keep in mind, it’s not finished yet! But it is getting close and I am stilling deciding on a few of the finishing touches so I figured it was worth taking photos to share now seeing how it may be a couple more months before it’s fully finished.

Here is a before shot of the desk and pull out couch area:

I love this artwork we put over the desk! In fact I love it so much we added it to our collection at Painted Fox Home. I hadn’t hung the artwork yet when I took these photos last week because I wasn’t sure if I was going to hang it here or in our bedroom. However I did end up deciding I preferred it here so I hung it earlier this week. Over at the desk area I put two chairs so they girls can both work there. It’s a great spot for legos and puzzles and working on projects.

I’d eventually like to move the buffet piece out of this room but it is REALLY REALLY heavy so it’s kind of stuck in here for now…ha! At some point though I’d like to put something a little longer and not so deep. For now though it does provide great storage for our board games and lots of books. We wrote more about this yesterday, but we are LOVING this new sofa from Sixpenny! It’s unbelievably comfortable!

The couch pulls out and can be a bed which is nice seeing how we don’t have a guest room. We put that over in that little nook area so when we do have guests we can pull it out and leave it out during the visit and it will be out of the way for the most part. For our day to day use though it’s a great little reading nook and then we also play games at the little table. Our houses up until now have all been quite traditional and I imagine in the future they will be too so this house seemed like a good time to use one of these more modern light fixtures. And I love this artwork from Minted.

We’ve got our TV tucked in over behind the sliding doors of this bookshelf.

I built a basketball hoop that Lola had in her room two houses ago and then it was in our bonus room at our last house but for now it’s in our garage because I haven’t decided yet if I want to hang it in here. We got the girls each one of these behind the door hoops though for Christmas and although it much less visually appealing I like that it can be taken down when need be. To say it gets a lot of use would be a massive understatement – ha!

How cool is this PGA ice bucket!!!! I’ve been using it as a vase but it looks pretty just sitting there by itself too. It would look fabulous in a man’s office I think and I love how it works here in our bonus room. We’ve added this to our Painted Fox Collection too!

I really love this huge basketball artwork from Minted that we added here.

I would love to have hardwood in here but that’s not in the plans for now so layering a rug over the existing carpet helps add a little interest. I love this rug from Boutique Rugs that we added over to the main part of the room.

On this wall over here I would like to put some family sports photos of my husband, the girls and some of our relatives and then want to install  a picture light above the photos. I’m still deciding on a few things though when it comes to that so it might be a little bit before I do it.
