At the beginning of November we mentioned that we were going to do something a little bit different with our donation for the month. Now that the November is over and we have set aside a small portion of each sale we are going to let you all send in suggestions to who we should send the money to. We would like to find a family who could use a little help this Christmas so will be sending them a check as well as a little Christmas gift from our shop. If you know of someone in need who would be blessed by this this please send us an e-mail at dearlillie@hotmail.com and we will pick a family later this week! We will not be publicly sharing any of the information you e-mail us so you do not need to worry about anyone you nominate being uncomfortable about any of their information being on a blog.
UPDATE: Thank you so much for your e-mails and sharing with us those you know who could use this right now. We already are going to have a difficult time deciding so we are no longer taking any more submissions. However, we will probably do this again at some point in the future! Thank you so much!
I also am excited to tell you that tomorrow we will be participating in Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday House Tour! I am so thrilled and honored to be a part this event again this year. I cannot wait to see all of my favorite blogs decked out for the holidays. And wait until you see who the surprise houses are! You are going to LOVE them!

I am so moved by your idea… that is what I do. The months of October to December, I take applications from the needy for Holiday ( Thanksgiving and Christmas) assistance. I then find sponsors for the families , as many as I can and we at the Salvation Army facilitate the food and gifts for the family that did not get sponsored. I wish you lived near…. I would so call you and give you a needy and deserving family right now.
