Good morning and Happy Sunday! Although our dining room is not finished it is starting to come together and I am excited to share the progress we’ve made so far in here. We went back and forth when we first moved in on whether or not we wanted to use this as a dining room or not and after living in the house for a few weeks quickly decided we did want to go ahead and add a large table in here that we could not only use as a formal dining room when needed but also on a more daily basis as a place to play board games and work on puzzles – both of which our girls spend hours doing. We partnered with Lulu and Georgia on this absolutely gorgeous piece called the Nera Dining Table which makes such a statement in this space. I love that it is the first thing you see when you walk through the front door. The shape is so unique and eye-catching yet that is balanced out by the rustic feel of the wood which combines to give off the overall mix of modern and traditional that I love so much! I cannot tell you how thrilled I was with it when it arrived. It was even more beautiful than I had imagined!
We also added this plush Rabina Moroccan style rug under the table which our dogs love as much as we do. Ruby literally wants to snuggle up on a corner of it every night. I love mixing modern and traditional elements and love the way the modern feel of the rug and table balance out the more traditional wingback chairs and light fixture. I still haven’t decided on what I am going to use for side chairs, yet so I pulled some of these extra ones I have for the patio in for now because I couldn’t wait to share photo of the new table and rug. I also need my husband to help me smooth the rug out a bit more under the table. The table is really substantial and so I couldn’t get it lifted and smoothed quite right on my own but couldn’t resist taking some photos because I am so so excited for this space to finally be coming together and couldn’t wait to share it!
Lulu and Georgia has some of the most beautiful home decor items to choose from. If you have ever seen some of my mood boards you’ll know their wallpaper is often the starting off point for some of my designs. They have some of my absolute favorite papers! And so many beautiful pieces of furniture, rugs, and accessories to choose from. And starting THIS TUESDAY Lulu and Georgia is going to be having an anniversary sale! Both the rug and table will be included in this sale which is for 25% off your purchase with the code: CELEBRATE. The sale will run from 10/12/21-10/19/21.
And because it’s always fun to see before and afters. Here is a before shot of our dining room:
And here is a similar angle now:

And now:
As I mentioned this room isn’t done. I will probably add something to the large wall and I would love to eventually hang wallpaper either in the dining room or entryway but for now it’s nice seeing it start to come together!
You can see more pictures of our entryway here.
Well, that’s it for today! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend and great week ahead!
