Good morning! Today we are joining a bunch of our blogging friends for the first Christmas post of our Seasons Of Home Holiday Series (be sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for all of the links to their beautiful kitchens!) Although I plan on adding some more greenery to the space as we get closer to December, it’s nice having some holiday touches in here. I love the warm glow of the lights and candles this time of year.

I am not a very good cook, but I do love to bake and have plans for making a Christmas cake this year that I’ve been wanting to try for the last several years but haven’t found the time. I figured it was perfect timing for this post but then I did NOT end up having time once again, so instead went with a super basic “naked cake” with some rosemary springs on top – ha! I am hoping I will have time in another week or two to try the one I was planning on making and if so I’ll take some pictures then. For now though here is a very thrown together cake! We got these snowflake plates last year and they are my favorite. Unfortunately I don’t think they are still available. I also love these Downton Abbey inspired gold rimmed ones we just got!

These dog bowl stands are one of my favorite finds! We’ve had them for a couple of months now and they are definitely the best thing we have tried so far! They are functional and I love the simple yet nice way they look.

I’ve had these paperwhites for almost ten years now and I LOVE pulling them out every winter. Mine were from a local shop that has been closed for a few years now but you can find similar ones here and here.
