As we begin our third week of sheltering in place and with our state officially under orders to stay at home we know we won’t be going out or having people over for Easter but that doesn’t mean we can’t still have a special brunch with just our family of four at home. I set up a fun little spot at our island for the girls with some mini pancakes and some adorable little bunny paper plates, and napkins, cute little mugs and some fun crackers. It’s a really easy little setup and can make their breakfast feel special. You can also set up a fun little Easter egg hunt in your own house or yard.
How cute it this little bunny eared candy jar:
Over at our table I set up a slightly more formal table setting for a little bit later in the day. With the napkins tied to look sort of like bunnies, the egg wreath and blue candles it still has a whimsical feel to it that keeps it from feeling too grown up so our girls will still think it’s fun.
I love these cute little egg cups. You could write each person’s name on the egg at their seat if you wanted to use them for assigned seating.
We’ve gotten pretty addicted to making these egg bites. I have been using this egg bite maker and all four of us LOVE them.
Jon and Lillie both like the more traditional ones while Lola and I prefer making egg white ones:
I haven’t made these muffins yet but am planning on making them in the next few days.
We shared more about this yesterday but another fun Easter treat is to make a cake with some pipe cleaner bunny ears.
Well, that’s it for today. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead as we all get settled into our new normal. Stay well!
