I don’t like change. I resist it like my toddler does a spoonful of spinach: I see it coming and hide my face. I have been planning this shared bedroom since before Christmas but I’m not sure if I will ever pull the trigger. I love routine and loathe transitions, and even though there are many benefits to bringing Lucie (Eloise…who we call Lucie but I like to throw her real name out there every now and then so we don’t forget it) downstairs with the rest of us, I am hesitant to upset the balance when they both sleep well.

We are excited to be introducing our newest sign, “Praise God from Whom all blessings flow”. We will be listing them in our shop later this morning (10 AM, Thursday October 2nd).
We also hung some artwork on the empty wall between our closets.
I am so excited to share with you today about Soft Surroundings. I first heard of them last spring and quickly became entranced by their website and all of the beautiful items they carried. The second I saw this three-ring chest I fell in love with it and knew it would be the perfect piece to design our master bedroom around.
I had another post planned for today but didn’t get it finished so will share it next week. Instead I thought I would just quickly share some photos I took of our master bedroom a couple of weeks ago when I was adding some spring/Easter touches to the house.
I worked on getting the Thanksgiving downloads we will be offering, printed and set up on a festive autumn table setting this weekend but I didn’t get to photograph it in time to post tonight so it will have to wait. The only thing I have for tonight are a few pictures of our bedroom that I took in a hurry.
First, I want to apologize for the horrible photos in the post. By the time I got over to Jamie’s last night it was dusk so it was nearly impossible to get any good shots. We tried to shine one of the industrial worklamps they have there in the room but it really just ended up casting some weird shadows. Also, I think this project would be better suited for a nursery but as Jamie is trying to save up her money to finish off accessorizing the main rooms downstairs we thought it would be a nice temporary fix to her guest bedroom.
