One of my favorite ways to decorate a tree is just to keep it simple and add some handmade garland (you can find the post on how we made that in this post here) and then just adding some simple velvet ribbon bows on our Christmas tree. It’s such an inexpensive way to dress the tree up. This green ribbon was under $10 for 25 yards!

I cut it into pieces that are a little over 24″ long and then just simply tie them in bows at the end of the branch and space them out around the tree. You can see a little video here:

So nice and simple yet still pretty!

This year I  also added some ribbon to a tree that we added ornaments to as well and I  love how that looks too!
