Adding Some Simple, Cozy Autumn Touches Throughout the House

One of my favorite things to do as the seasons change it so add little subtle elements throughout our home that reflect the new season that is upon us. I like the changes to be soft and not too glaring, so I tend to stick with things like switching our pillows, adding throws and candles and little accents like that. During the fall and winter months I like to add warmth and texture. One of the easiest ways to do that is by adding in pillows and throws that have a cozy feeling to them. In our bonus room I added some cozy velvet pillows with a rich green hue perfect for the colder months to our slipcovered chairs and threw a faux fur throw over the side. These velvet pillows are only $9!

I added another sheepskin throw onto our daybed and then layered several pillows with lots of texture. The oversized vintage rug lumbar pillow mixed with the oversized ivory moroccan pillow helped add such a warm feeling to this daybed for the upcoming fall months!

A basket full of fall branches also can add so much texture to a space and really help bring the season indoors!

We also added this cool ladder with a cozy throw on it which adds some more interest and texture to the space!

Another accent I love adding to our home are candles. I like them year-round but I find them particularly enjoyable in the fall and winter months. I love having an aroma in our home that distinctly feels like fall! I added this tobacco and linen one to my home office.

I also added this Tobacco Leaf and Amber candle. I love the look of this one! And it smells wonderful!

In our family room I added more cozy pillows and this gorgeous carved leaf wood bowl! It’s even more beautiful in person!

I had initially put the ladder in our bonus room but ended up moving it here to our master bedroom to this little spot that had been empty. I ended up loving it here so this is where it stayed! I added a cozy sheepskin throw as well as a dark plaid one.

In our master bedroom I added some more cozy touches with this black velvet pillow and a faux fur lumbar pillow in front.

and I also added another candle. I love how pretty this jar is!
