Last month I made some autumn wreaths and was happy with how they turned out so I decided to make a winter one as well. I wanted to make one that would work not only for the holidays for the winter months following Christmas too. With that in mind I started with the same wreath base that I did for my fall wreaths. I found this at Hobby Lobby but assume they sell them at most craft stores.
Then I used four of these faux cedar sprigs:
I used floral wire to attach each one. Here’s the first one:
Here’s the second:
Here’s the third:
And here’s the fourth:
Then I had this eucalyptus spray.
I pulled a few of the little branches off and added them in:
Next up was some lamb’s ear:
I went a little heavy on the lamb’s ear and in retrospect wish I had used a little less of it:
Then I added some berries:
I added one to the left side and one to the right side:
Then I used these same berries I used in my fall wreaths. I pulled all of the bright green leaves off so it was just the berries left:
And then I snipped each branch of berries apart so I had several branches to work with and then added them to the wreath to fill it out:
I intentionally left the bottom a little bare so I could easily attach a bow that I made from some ribbon I bought at Michael’s last year and used on our tree.
And there you have it! I played around with it in a few spots (in the powder room and on a mirror in our living room, but ultimately think it will go right here in our kitchen):
I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!
Warmly, Jenni
