Today we are participating in the “Design Council 2017: Christmas in Treetopia” and sharing a fun woodland creature tree that we did in Lola’s Christmas room. Lola loves stuffed animals so we thought it would be fun to do a tree that reflected that in her room. We started off by choosing a tree from our partner, Treetopia. We chose the Addison Spruce in the 7′ Height with the Clear LED lights. Lola and I had a lot of fun putting the tree together – we loved that as you clicked the middle and top section into place the lights immediately turned on! Once it was fluffed out and all put together we added a button garland that I’ve had since even before she was born. After that we added the ornaments. First a mix of white, silver and mercury glass ornaments to help fill out the tree and then the fun part – a bunch of adorable little stuffed animals that we found.

We added some other wintery elements to Lola’s room as well like the star garland, the “Let it Snow” pillow, the penguin with the earmuffs and a cozy throw at the end of her bed. We also moved her curtains to another room and hung these sheer ones that felt reminiscent of snow falling all of which we found at HomeGoods.

Over on her dresser we added a Harvest Pine Garland from Treetopia, a cute little Santa and one of the Pom Pom wreaths that we made.
