Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I’ve been working on a ton of different bedroom mood boards. I am going to share some of the girls ones I have been working on today and then will also be sharing some boys ones as well as some nurseries. I am hoping to have those ready to share next week as long as I finish getting them all edited.

To start with though, today I am going to be sharing five different girls mood boards and then tomorrow I will be sharing three different budget friendly ones! The ones today were designed purely with an overall aesthetic in mind and not a specific budget so there are some pricier splurge items mixed in with some inexpensive finds too! Tomorrow’s though will have items that are specifically chosen with a more budget-friendly mindset. Today’s are all just fun inspiration.

For me, it’s easiest to start off just trying to find an overall look that I am going for and then once I have that narrowed down and pieced together I will then start looking through it with a more specific budget in mind and try to find options that fit in the budget that I am working with that will still give a similar overall look and feel. For instance, if you fall in love with a dresser or desk that is out of the budget you are working with you can start hunting on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, thrift shops, yard sales, etc to find an inexpensive (or even free!) piece to then paint the same color as the one you found as your inspiration piece. Or if it’s something like a lamp or pillow you can search places like HomeGoods or Amazon for a knock-off. Or an item like a Pin Board or Pillow you can often find the same or similar fabric on Etsy or a fabric shop and make ones yourself that will  have the same look. So keep these are all just to use as inspiration and a starting off point.

Also I tried to really mix up the looks here. I know my own girls are as different as night and day and the items and colors and overall styles they are drawn to are completely different. I really love doing kids rooms because I love pulling out their individual little personalities and making their room feel like a reflection of that.

First up a a soft and sweet room with a more traditional overall feel to it. This one definitely has some splurge items on it but some of the items (like the artwork and throws) are really great prices. And I LOVE the vintage Nancy Drew books.

This next one is more fun and funky. It has a more modern feel to it. There are some really great budget friendly options on this one like the bed, the dresser, and the art. The desk and cream chair are decently priced too. I really love the Little Women wall hanging!

Bunny Doll  /  Pouf  /  Throw  / Pin Board  /  Desk  /  Clock  / Desk Chair
Mirror  /  Books  /  Let Your Light Shine Art  /  Dresser

Next up are two different mood boards that were inspired by the same wallpaper (just in different colors). For this first one I went with a softer feel for a girl that loves horses, and pinks and aquas. This one has a mix of both traditional and more modern elements. It’s a bit of a splurge but I really love the horse lamp in this one!

Horse Art  /  Clock  /  Books  /  Nightstand  / Chandelier  /  Horse Wallpaper  / Bed  /  Rug
Blue Animal Print Pillows Lumbar Pillow  /  Round Pillow  / Pin BoardLamp on Desk
Desk  /  Desk Chair  /  Books  Next to Chair  /  Mirror  /  Alice in Wonderland Book
Elephant Dolls  /  Books on Dresser  /  Horse Lamp  /  Dresser

And then this next one was designed with a bit more of a tomboy in mind and incorporated more greens with some blues and grays and a tiny touch of coral. Overall this one has a more modern feel. I’ve purchased a few of these Anne of Green Gables books. I love this cover designs so much!

Horse Print  /  Books  /  Lamp  /  Nightstand  /  Light FixtureHorse Wallpaper  /  Bed
Blue Animal Print Pillows  /  Lumbar Pillow  /  Rabbit Doll  /  Dotted Throw  /  Rug  /  Egg Chair
Striped Pillow  / Flower Pillow  /  Pouf  / Mirror / This Little Light of Mine Print
Green Books  /  Horse Lamp  /  Dresser Anne of Green Gables Book  /  Winnie the Pooh Book

And then this one is completely different. This one has a much more vintage feel to it and was designed more for an older girl who loves to read and escape into a kind of magical forest. This one could easily work for an adult too – haha! I have the Little Women book and it’s so pretty!

Custom Lyrics Print  /  Green Books  /  Rabbit Lamp  /  Nightstand  /  Bed
Vintage Style Castle Wallpaper  /  Light Fixture  /  Square Pillows  / Lumbar Pillow
Wingback Chair  /  Standing Lamp  /  Pillow in Chair  /  Pouf  /  Throw  / Rug
Pin Board  /  Lamp on Desk  /  Desk  /  Desk Chair  /  Little Women Book

Well, that’s it for today. I’ll be back tomorrow with three more!

Warmly, Jenni
