Good morning! Today I wanted to share some progress we’ve made in our new entryway. Like the other spaces we have shared so far (you can see our kitchen here, our living room here, Lillie’s room here and our porch here) with just some really simple changes like painting and swapping light fixtures we’ve updated our entryway to feel a bit more like us. Eventually I would like to add some wallpaper above the wainscoting but there are several other house projects ahead of that on the list so it might be a while before I get to that.
Here’s a before picture. As I have mentioned in the other posts I don’t have any recent before shots because this house wasn’t ever on the market and it felt weird taking pictures when we were in the house looking at it with the owners so these are from the original listing from back when they purchased it several years before.
I really love the size of this lantern. It is huge!
The faux cowhide is just here for now until I decide on a runner for this space and that kind of depends on what rug I go with for the dining room. In the meantime though I am I just using rugs we already have in any spots I can.
The rug, sideboard and everything on the sideboard were items we already owned but we did order this artwork from our partner Minted to help fill up the wall. I needed something large and also wanted something simple that I could still decorate around seasonally and this piece checked both of those boxes.
