Happy Sunday! I hope you all are having a lovely weekend. Here are some cupcakes we made last week. I saw this idea on Pinterest a while ago and thought it would be a cute little way to garnish these cupcakes. The cupcakes themselves were made with a Devil’s Food cake mix and then I frosted them with my favorite peanut butter frosting. Then I just added a miniature Reese’s cup with a tiny little bit of frosting on top of that to give it a little mini cupcake on top of a cupcake look.

Here is the recipe for the peanut butter frosting:

(I am not the best at measuring but this was pretty close to what I went with and as usual, had a little extra):

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup (2 sticks) of butter or margarine

1 cup creamy peanut butter

3-4  cups powdered sugar

1-2 Tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

Soften the butter. Beat the butter and peanut butter together until smooth. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk and beat on medium speed. Add more milk if needed. Stir in Vanilla. Makes about 4 cups of frosting.

To pipe this onto the top I used this 2D tip. And the little mini cake stand is from here.

We also used this frosting on this cake we shared earlier this year (you can get more details here in this post):

I hope you all have a lovely rest of your weekend!

Warmly, Jenni
