Good morning! I am so excited to share my new favorite piece of furniture with you. This is the Bench*Made Maple Bureau in their Sandstone finish with pewter ring pulls from our partner, Bassett Furniture. It looks like a family heirloom yet it’s brand new, so the drawers open and close with the ease of one finger. This piece, like all of Bassett’s Bench*Made line, is made from solid hardwood and is made to LAST! I honestly think it’s hard to capture in a photo just how beautiful the wood is and how substantial this piece is. Earlier this week we shared the process of watching this bureau being built by hand and stained in a factory in Virginia. You can read more about that and the craftsmanship that goes into each piece here in this post.

I love how it looks against the dark walls in our master. Here you can see it straight on:

The details are just so beautiful!

You can see the attention to detail in each drawer.

We also added two of these beautiful Devereux Lamps to our room. I saw these in their showroom and fell in love with them.  Each one is handcrafted from natural concrete. The technique they use creates one-of-a-kind piece that results in slight variations in color and texture that add to the charm of each one. I love that it could go with a variety of different styles too – from more traditional to modern.

And here are a few wider angled shots of the bureau.

We also added this new Bench*Made table and chairs.

For the table we went with their 72” Georgian Table in their Fawn finish. It is beautiful. I tried to take some pictures from above so you could see how pretty the top is. And I love chunky legs! I love that although overall it has a casual feel to it the Georgian style legs dress it up a bit.

Then we added their Greyson Side Chairs in their Lampblack finish.  These have a bit more of a country feel to them then I am going for in this space, but I’ve got somewhere else I am going to use them where they will work perfectly. I wanted to pair them for the photos here with the table though because they look so beautiful together!

Bassett Furniture’s focus on quality comes without compromise and that can really be seen in their Bench*Made line! For more than 100 years they’ve been perfecting the art of crafting furniture and they are dedicated to making comfortable, long lasting furniture.

The size and height of these chairs makes them really great for adults, especially the very tall ones that we regularly have in our home. But they are also really kid friendly too because they are sturdy and so easy to wipe down after a messy meal, or maybe just a messy kid! Ha!

I mentioned all this in the post earlier this week, but in case you missed it thought that I would end with this again. I love that Bassett is a family company that has been making furniture for over 100 years! Their Bench*Made line is 100% made in the USA, including the trees that they harvest from the Appalachian region. The pieces from their Bench*Made collection are solid hardwood.  The American maple timber is cut and milled in the Appalachian region and shipped to their Bassett, Va., factory where it is shaped and finished. When I toured the factory I was not only impressed with the unbelievable quality of each piece but also the craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each piece was like a piece of art.

Bassett is creating high quality pieces of furniture that are built to last and to stand the test of time. Along the the incredible quality and construction, another thing I was so impressed with was the ability to customize your piece! I highly recommend finding your local Bassett store so you can see just how custom you can make a piece and how perfect they can make it for your space!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Warmly, Jenni
