Good morning! We are joining a bunch of our blogging friends today to bring you the third installment of the Seasons of Home Holiday Series and this time sharing our Christmas trees and living rooms. I have to admit I almost bailed on this round because as I was packing up our house I started running out of time. These were one of the last sets of photos that I took (although it’s not the last that I will be sharing – I will be sharing the final photos next week). This room got the least amount of natural light so I usually only took photos in here when I could get the best possible light. Unfortunately though, I had taken all of the rest of my photos and had been hoping for a really sunny day for this room but once I knew I was officially out of time because I had to get it all packed up I just went ahead and took them so they are pretty grainy and poorly lit. Sorry about that!
I kept things really simple in here. I added a wreath and some simple florals to the mantel. If I had had a little more time I would have also added some garland. Then I hung one knit stocking and added a cozy sheepskin throw to the chair along with some velvet pillows to help add texture and warmth to the room.

For our tree, I kept it really simple. I hung some lights, clipped on some candles and then added a little felt garland I found at HomeGoods last year and that was it! I actually liked it so much that I pretty much did the same thing when I put it up in our rental last week! The rug is from our collection at Soft Surroundings.

Here are a couple of shots without the lights on. It’s not as pretty, but on an overcast day like when I was taking these, you can see the other colors of the room a little bit better without the tree lights on. The skates were mine as a girl.
