Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend and are staying warm. I’ve been working on some mood boards for boys room and although I am not finished with some of them yet figured I would at least share the ones I have done so far seeing how life’s been a bit hectic lately and I am a little behind on things. I may not have the other ones ready until later this week and probably won’t have the nursery ones ready until some time next week.

For today I do want to share the ones I’ve finished. Unlike the girls rooms, these all so far have a very similar overall look to them so far (but I am hoping to share some with some different looks later this week). As I mentioned in the both this girls room post and this one last week, for me, it’s easiest to start off just trying to find an overall look that I am going for and then once I have that narrowed down and pieced together I will then start looking through it with a more specific budget in mind and try to find options that fit in the budget that I am working with that will still give a similar overall look and feel. For instance, if you fall in love with a dresser or desk that is out of the budget you are working with you can start hunting on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, thrift shops, yard sales, etc to find an inexpensive (or even free!) piece to then paint the same color as the one you found as your inspiration piece. Or if it’s something like a lamp or pillow you can search places like HomeGoods or Amazon for a knock-off. Or an item like a pin board or pillow you can often find the same or similar fabric on Etsy or a fabric shop and make ones yourself that will  have the same look. So keep these are all just to use as just general inspiration and a starting off point.

First up is a look with some industrial elements to it and some vintage style airplane inspired accents. You could easily swap out the accents in any of these. There’s a mix of price ranges on these boards from splurges to really budget friendly items.

This one is has the same color scheme and overall feel as the one above but has basketball accents. This one I did with Lola sitting right at my elbow guiding me with each and every single item. Haha! In fact, she has basically designed this as her next room except she would like the leather bed in the next board swapped for this bunkbed.

Next up is a Notre Dame Football inspired room. In this room I incorporated some navy and gold along with leather and wood to give it a warmer feeling. And you could easily swap out the Notre Dame items for another team of your choice and get the same overall look.

Next up is a baseball themed room with a navy and gray color scheme. You could also pull in some more red too with pillows and other accents. I am trying to pull some red into one of the mood boards I am still working on but have to admit, because it’s a color I am not naturally drawn to, it’s been a bit tricky.
