Good morning! Since moving into our home in September we’ve been slowing making over the downstairs to feel more our style. We took a little break from making over spaces during November and December to focus on the holidays and just did lots of Christmas decorating.

This past week I gave our powder room a quick makeover with the goal of spending under $200 while still freshening it up a bit. I plan on changing out the counters (most likely to honed marble) and when we do that I will add some form of trim and wallpaper in here as well.
Just to clarify before I get started, these are NOT after shots. These are just a few “during” shots to share some of the progress I have been making in our powder room and what a difference just a few small changes and only a little bit of money can make!
Here is a look at the Classic Yorktown Powder Room we have been working on for a client! Along with new wallpaper we changed out the vanity, lighting and mirror. The vanity was a bit of a hassle as it arrived damaged the first two times and we almost gave up on it and went another route but we just kept coming back to it because it was so pretty and so perfect for the space.
The master bathroom in our new home had just been completely renovated, so although we will be adding some personal touches it is nice not to have to tackle that project. However, the other two bathrooms we plan on doing some remodeling to. One of them we plan on remodeling in February or March and then will probably hold off a little while before tackling the second one.
We finally added the finishing touches to our powder room. We added this bird print in a circular metal frame that we found at Savvy above the toilet and another piece of art that we’ve had for years to the wall opposite the sink but that wall is basically impossible to photograph so I gave up.
