A few weeks back Jenni asked if I would be able to make some sliding barn doors for a client she had been working with. Having never made barns door before (or any doors for that matter), I started looking for tutorials while Jenni and Lola went to the client’s house to take measurements. The doorway was roughly 31″ wide and 80″ tall, and each door measures at 84″ tall by 18.5″ wide (so 37″ wide when the two doors next to each other).

We found one on Youtube that fit the style and dimensions we were looking for (you can see it here). I got the materials and got to work building and painting the doors up in New Hampshire. Then once the paint dried I drove them down to Virginia and Jenni helped with the hardware install!

See how we made them below, and be sure to subscribe to our new Youtube channel!

Here are some shots of the doors in the finished room!

Have a great day! Jenni will be back to share full room shots of the space on Friday!
