This will be another quick post. I’m just popping in with a few photos I took of our living room before Lola and I left for NH. As I mentioned last week, I am not really loving what I did for autumn before we left and think I will probably switch things up a bit once I get settled in back home.
One of the first projects I did for fall this year was to change out the quote on our chalkboard to this one by Emily Bronte. I absolutely love this quote and the feeling it invokes every time I read it.
I also added this give thanks sign which we now have for sale in our shop.
Lola and I are still up in NH so I just thought I would pop in with a quick post because I am not quite done working on a couple of my decorating ones. Tomorrow I will have a post that shows our autumn chalkboard, a new sign and a downloadable print and then Monday evening I will show you either our living room or porch decorated for autumn depending on which post I can get finished up first.
It has been a rather crazy week. I still haven’t finished my fall decorating but I did take a bunch of photos of the dining room, living room and porch right before Lola and I left to head out of town yesterday. Honestly, I’m not happy at all with how the dining room turned out but I figured I would show you how it looks now and I am guessing later this month or at some point in October I am going to switch it up to something I like better once I get some real pumpkins and other things.
Have you ever had a project go horribly wrong and had to come up with a completely new plan? Well, our dining room table project turned out to be a fiasco. A few hours into my “great idea” I was thinking it was my all-time worst idea ever!
Well, there are still no pumpkins to be found in Williamsburg – ugh! (If any local people reading this happen to see any when you are out and about let me know). So, my fall decorating for this year still needs some finishing touches. I want it to look a little different from the past couple of years.
