Good morning! I can’t believe Easter is tomorrow. Last year I shared a really simple Easter cake. For that one I used a store bought cake and some pipe cleaners to make some bunny ears so if you are looking for a super easy Easter dessert you can click here. This year I wanted to make the bunny ears from little budding branches we had out in our yard.
For these mini cakes and cupcakes I just made a yellow cake and then decorated them using a 2D piping tip. (You can find our video tutorial for this style cupcake here). Then I cut some small budding branches off one of the trees in our yard and used floral tap to connect two at the base (you can get a visual in the video below) and then used my glue gun to connect them at the top to shape them into bunny ears. Make sure to wash the base of the ear well and then just push them down into the cake or cupcake! If you want you can embellish it with more spring blossoms as well!
You can stick with a simple look like shown above or add in colorful flowers for a brighter look like this:
There are a lot of different ways you can embellish it based on what you have available or what overall look you want.
If you want more info on how we made these bunny ears for the cupcakes shown below you can click here.
I pray you all have a blessed Easter!
