Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today I wanted to share a few pictures of our dining room with some fresh peonies and a new table. I also figured I’d show you how the white wingback chairs look in here seeing how we shared in our last post that we had moved them to the dining room when we put some gray ones in our family room.

I built our last two dining room tables – I built one for our last house and one for the house before that. I built each of them specifically for the space they were going in so when we moved here I actually didn’t intend to put the last table I had built in here – I was planning on using it on our porch! I had planned on going with something a little bit less rustic in here. Well, it wouldn’t fit through the porch doors on moving day so I just ended up having it set in the dining room and then of course we just ended up using it in there and I never got around to changing it until this summer.

I knew I didn’t want anything too formal, but I did want something a little bit less rugged looking than our last one and kept my eyes out for something that fit the bill. Well, I spotted this one several months ago but kept talking myself out of it. Then in May when World Market was having a huge sale I decided to pull the trigger and order it and I am so glad I did! It still has a touch of rustic farmhouse to it, but it a bit more elegant than the one I built. I really love the shape of the legs.

Here you can see the legs better:

Well, that’s it for today!
