Well, Lillie and I have officially have finished out dollhouses! Although it is nice not having our dining table completely overtaken with dollhouse supplies I have to admit I am kind of sad for this project to be finished. It was so much fun and really was the perfect project for this summer of 2020 where there wasn’t much else to do!

So here is what we started with, a basic IKEA flisat dollhouse. It was $34.99 which is a great price and the basic shape made it really easy to work with. I do wish it were a little bit “prettier” on the outside and had some windows but for this price point we really can’t complain. Most of the more traditional style dollhouses we looked at were really quite expensive and we were really just looking for a craft project to do during all this down time.

So here is what we started with:

And here they are now:

We worked room by room and then once we finished the rooms we added the shingles and siding to finish it off.

Here is a closeup of my kitchen:

And here is my little “study” (which I think is my favorite because we had so much fun making the tiny little books):

And here is my bedroom:

And here is my bathroom:

The mini books and the fact that all of the lights actually work are my favorite parts of the dollhouse:

And here is Lillie’s finished dollhouse. She has the perfect spot for it in her room. I am so proud of how hard she worked on this and how much patience it took.

Here’s her kitchen:

Here’s her study:

Here is her adorable bedroom:

And here is her bathroom – I love how this turned out!

I love how hers turned out! It’s such a perfect reflection of her taste and personality!
