DIY Dried Flowers Fall Wreath Good morning! I hope you all are having a lovely weekend. Today I  am joining a bunch of my blogging friends to share the first installment of this years Seasons of Home Fall Series. First up, we will all be sharing budget-friendly or foraged fall decorating ideas. I  am going to share a few different budget friendly ideas in this post starting with making this easy and inexpensive DIY Dried Flowers Fall Wreath. I  got the wood beaded wreath base at Hobby Lobby for $7.50 and then used a mix of pampas grass, dried flax, dried baby’s breath and some clippings from the yard and some dried lotus pods to make it. Using items you already have on hand or that you can forage from the outdoors can help keep this project a very low cost one. Here’s a little video showing how I put it together:

I  swapped out the ivory ones I had for some taupe colored ones that give a subtle nod to fall. I also added some grouping of wheat stocks (HomeGoods carries usually has some that are a good price and they last for years – I  enjoy pulling mine out of their bins every fall and finding a good spot for them).

Another inexpensive way to add fall touches to your home is by swapping out artwork for prints that have darker color tones to them or some autumn landscapes. They don’t have to be pumpkins or anything too literal. You can get that same “fall” feeling just by using warmer prints. Etsy is a great place to find really inexpensive downloadable prints like the one below. Also finding ways to bring natural elements in like through turkey or pheasant feathers (I’ve had some of the ones in that display since before I even had Lillie!) The pumpkin pot was from World Market several years ago. Unfortunately I don’t think they still carry it.

And swapping out your artwork on your TV is fun and inexpensive. We do have a FrameTV now, but we did a post a few years ago about how to make a frame for a regular TV and linked to a post about how you can make any smart TV function like this. You can read more about it here.  I  ordered this artwork and this artwork over Labor Day weekend when they were on sale (one of them was just $1.20) and have had fun swapping back and forth between them.

I  also have faux pumpkins and gourds sprinkled throughout the house – sitting in bookshelves and on dressers and benches and places like that. Most of them I have had for years. I  have had fun painting some of them over the years different colors to match my decor – sometimes green and sometimes white. I  still have more painting to do in the living room, but here’s a little peek at the bookshelf. Once I  finish up a few other things in the living room I’ll do a post with more photos and all of the details.    DIY Dried Flowers Fall Wreath
